Please welcome our newest DT members

For various reasons I've unfortunately had to take the decision
to stop Guest Designers.
However,I am happy to announce that we have two new full time DT Members instead :)
Please give our talented new DT members a warm welcome...

Andrea

Hello I am Andrea from New Zealand

I live in a small country town on the West Coast of the South Island of New Zealand - called Hokitika, we are a small town of 4,000 people.
I have lived here in Hokitika for 49 years. I was born in Melbourne Australia where I grew up and went to school, coming to New Zealand in 1964 on a working holiday where I met my husband married in Melbourne and came to live in New Zealand.
I have 2 adult children and 4 grandchildren. I retired from work 2 years ago from the health sector where I worked for our local Health Board for 32 years. I was in the administration area mainly reception.
Over my adult years I have done lots of different crafts, but hand embroidery just stood out for me, and over the last 10 years silk ribbon embroidery come to the fore and also in that time I purchased a computerised embroidery sewing machine and just love using my machine to decorate just about anything.
At the time of my retirement from work I started to make greeting cards and I haven't looked back. In 2014  I was asked to join Outlawz Thursday Twist as a DT member, which I accepted.   Also in August last year I became a DT for the 3D Deco My Bestie Blog, (now called My Bestie 3D and More Monthly Challenge Blog). As the year went on I was asked by the Annette Team Leader of  My Bestie Meet at the Scrappers Corner Challenge Blog if I would like to be a DT for this group.
Last month July, a new World Wide Open Design Team Monthly Challenge starting which I am a DT.
I love to push my boundaries with my crafting and love to be challenged into making something new for my Design Teams.
I love finding different projects like folded and box cards to make, and from time to  time I will adding some ribbon embroidery and machine embroidery to my cards. It's rather neat to combined the 3 most special crafts I love together.
Andrea.
***********************************************

My name is Veronica, I live in Bologna, Italy. I'm thirtytwo years hold.
I studier Architecture and than Archaeologist at college.
I love so much all types of art, but until the time I know and try scrapbooking, more or less one year ago, I can't stop.
It was, I think, love from first time... probably because scrap allows me to join more  techniques in only one card, like painting, drawing, crafting, cartonage, quilling, etc....
I've a blog 'ideedipenelope.blogspot.it, where I show all my creations, not only scrap, and a facebook, google+, pinterest pages and profiles.
My first follower is my mother, who bring me always some scrap cards or decorations or punch from her travels around the world!!!
this new experiences in Craft your Passion DT group is for me a beautiful occasion for learn from very good creatives,

I just thought I'd leave a comment here to show how our craft and the internet have shrunk the world... on 16th September (the day this blog post was put up) I was on holiday (from Perth, Western Australia) in New Zealand 5000+ kilometres away; not only was I on the West Coast of the South Island, but we stopped for lunch in a small town we'd been to on our last visit and really liked - you guessed it Andrea... Hokitika!! Sorry about the rain... I think it followed us up the coast ;-) Donna xx
